Alarm systems are one of the most effective home security features to have installed on your property. These systems sound an alarm and alert the local authorities if someone tries to break into your home.
The alarm systems we install at Safe N Sound Inc. usually include the following components:
- Motion sensors—These sensors detect when there is motion in a large area. For example, if you arm your alarm system when no one will be home, these motion sensors can detect if someone gets in and is moving around your home.
- Door and window contacts—These switches indicate when someone opens up a window or a door. Typically, these contacts are attached to the window or door and held closed by a magnet. When the window or door is moved away from the magnet, the alarm system will sound.
- Shock sensors—These sensors can tell when an intruder uses extreme force to pound through a door, roof, or another part of your home.
- Glass break detectors—These sensors can tell when glass suddenly shatters. When the detector hears the sound pattern caused by glass breaking, an electronic signal is sent to the alarm system’s control panel.
Alarm systems can also help you protect against environmental threats to your home. For example, many alarm systems can alert you when there is a fire in your home or if there is an excess amount of carbon monoxide in your environment.
